MANSFIELD, PA—The Mansfield University Council of Trustees, upon the recommendation of President Fran Hendricks, granted emeritus status to three retired MU faculty at its May 25 meeting.
Granted emeritus status and their years of service are:
J. Rick Lucero, Education and Special Education, August 1991-June 2015
Ronald Straub, Education and Special Education, May 1976-May 2014
Matthew Syrett, Library, August 1999-June 2015
Emeritus status is granted to retired full-time faculty in recognition of dedicated service to Mansfield University.
The action was based on the recommendation of the academic departments and Provost Steven Siconolfi, and followed a poll of senior faculty.
