MU Representatives Meet Chinese Delegates

MANSFIELD, PA— Brad Lint, assistant professor of English at Mansfield University and US-China Exchange coordinator, and Marie Domenech, director of the Mansfield University Center for International Cooperation and Exchange, recently visited Washington, D.C. when the Association of American State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) hosted a CHEPD 1+2+1 Program Presidents Delegation from China.Marie Domenech and Brad Lint (front row, second and third from left) with delegates at AASCU meeting.The delegation was comprised of representatives from Chinese universities, several of which currently have 1+2+1 dual degree and exchange students at Mansfield University, including:

  • Dai Lei, deputy director of International Affairs Office, Southwest Petroleum University (home university of current MU students Hao Qingyang, BA English 2019, and Tian Xueyi, BS Chemistry 2019)
  • Hu Shaoling, section chief of Foreign Affairs Office, Qinghai University (home of Li Kehan, BS Nutrition 2020)\
  • Wang Jinghua, vice president, Ningbo University of Technology (home of Huang Mengyue, BS Business 2019

Mansfield University was one of eight American colleges and universities invited to present at the event. Representatives attended a dinner reception, presented on their respective institutions the next morning, and held table Q&A sessions throughout the afternoon. Domenech and Lint described MU programs, shared their experience of exchange programs, and discussed opportunities for further collaboration.
