MANSFIELD, PA—The 18th annual Bob Bridgman 5K Memorial Run will be held on Monday, May 28, 8:30 a.m. at Mansfield University’s Shaute Field. Registration will begin at 7 a.m.
A kids’ fun run will also be held.
Bridgeman, a math professor at MU for 36 years, began long distance running in 1976 and brought to the sport the integrity he took everywhere he went. He loved the sport and the people who participated. He also loved our community and did much to improve it.
The Bob Bridgman 5K Memorial Run honors his memory by returning all proceeds from this race to the Mansfield area. Proceeds will benefit the Bob Bridgman Memorial Scholarship at M.U., M.U. Cross Country, Mansfield H.S. Cross Country, Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries and the Mansfield Ambulance Association.
Pre-registration fee is $15 and must be postmarked by May 23. Day of the race registration is $20. The first 100 registrants will receive a t-shirt.
