Dr. Nancy Sidell Granted Emeritus Status

MANSFIELD, PA—The Mansfield University Council of Trustees, based on the recommendation of Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs John Ulrich, and in compliance with a poll of the senior faculty, granted emeritus status to Dr. Nancy Sidell at its July 18 meeting.

Sidell joined the Mansfield faculty in 1998 and retired in June 2018 after 20 years of service. As a faculty member, she served as a professor of Social Work, chair for the Department of Social Work, Anthropology, and Sociology, and as director of the Social Work Program. Sidell also took on an administrative role as Interim Dean of the College of Professional Studies at Mansfield University in 2015. In 2017 and until her retirement, Sidell served the University as Interim Associate Provost.

Emeritus status is granted to retired full-time faculty in recognition of dedicated service to Mansfield University.
