Mansfield Chemistry Club Wins Award at Regional Event

MANSFIELD, PA– The Mansfield University Chemistry Club was honored at the Corning Sectional Meeting of the American Chemical Society on May 24, 2018.

 

 

The meeting was hosted at Corning Community College in Corning, NY. This annual meeting included dinner and a presentation given by Dr. Matthew Skerritt titled “The Immortal Cells of Henrietta Lacks.” 

For consistent and exceptional representation at monthly sectional meetings, Ruchi Tandon, chair of the ACS-Corning Section, awarded  the Chemistry Club with a certificate, display frame, and $200 gift. Students Sarah LaFrance and Chris Haines represented the Chemistry Club and accepted the award on it’s behalf.  Dr. Anthony Kiessling accompanied the students as Chemistry Club advisor.
