Date Set for Mansfield University Fall Choral Collage

MANSFIELD, PA– The Annual Fall Choral Collage will be presented on Sunday, October 14 at 2:30 pm in Mansfield University’s Steadman Theatre.  The Choral Collage features five campus choral ensembles in their first major performance of the season: Grace Notes, Steadmen, Chamber Singers, Festival Chorus, and Concert Choir.

Peggy Dettwiler, Director of Choral Activities, will conduct the program. The Choral Collage will feature a wide variety of choral repertoire with works from the Baroque through to the 21st century. Highlights include a barbershop chorus with the Steadmen, a hilarious Celtic song, “Finnan Haddie,” about a smelly fish, and a rousing Gospel anthem.  The Festival Chorus will perform a movement from the spring major work, “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi, and the Concert Choir will perform selections by women composers in preparation for their Carnegie Hall concert in January 2019.

For more information, please contact Dr. Dettwiler at (570) 662-4271 or pdettwil@mansfield.edu. Don’t miss this free public concert with music performed by some of Mansfield University’s finest ensembles!
