MANSFIELD PA – The Mansfield University Music Department annual holiday choral concerts, which were performed on December 1st and 2nd in Steadman Theatre, will be available for on-demand viewing through the University website, social media and YouTube Channels on December 22nd. It will also be available locally and across the state through Blue Ridge Cable (see times below).
The title for this year’s concerts was “Good Will to All”, offering the opportunity for music composed down through the ages and from around the world about peace and good will. The program includes a beautiful Renaissance motet, a lively Mexican Baroque selection, a lovely setting of Silent Night, and Gospel anthems. The finale unites all of the choirs in singing “The Dream Isaiah Saw” by Glenn Rudolph with organ, brass, and percussion. The united voices always provide a powerful ending to the celebrative December performances.
