MANSFIELD, PA—Mansfield University students, joined by staff, 
faculty and members of the greater Mansfield community raised more than $21,000 in the annual Relay For Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society on April 17-18.
Thirty six teams and a total of 412 participants took over the Kelchner Fitness Center for 12 hours to walk, play games, have fun and celebrate the li
ves of people who are battling or have battled cancer and to also remember loved ones who have passed due to the disease.
“This event would not be possible without Colleges Against Cancer, the students, faculty, community and the American Cancer Society,” MU student Kimberly Scully, 2015 Relay for Life chair, said. “I thank everyone on behalf of Colleges against Cancer for helping us raise $21,215.99 to find a cure for cancer.”
The money was raised a variety of ways including pledges, donations, and raffles.
