MANSFIELD, PA\u2014<\/strong>Tiffany Welch, assistant professor and director of Field Education in Social Work at Mansfield University, has been selected as an ambassador for Runwell.<\/p>\n

Her husband, Jason, a purchasing agent at MU, has been selected as a mover \u2018n\u2019 shaker for the organization.\"(L-R)<\/a>Runwell, part of the Linda Quirk Foundation, is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring individuals around the world to lead healthy, active lifestyles. The organization provides access to addiction recovery solutions by funding existing financial aid programs along the continuum of care. Engaging individuals in sporting events worldwide, Runwell fosters a healthy lifestyle and contributes to breaking down the stigma of those struggling with the disease of addiction.<\/p>\n

As an ambassador and mover \u2018n\u2019 shaker, the Welch\u2019s duties include encouraging others to become involved, promoting awareness and openly speaking about the disease of addiction and organizing or participating in race events supported by Runwell, among others.<\/p>\n

The Welch family is featured in the \u201cAmbassador Spotlight\u201d<\/a> in Runwell\u2019s July blog.<\/p>\n

In addition to his responsibilities at MU, Jason Welch is a staff sergeant in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.<\/p>\n

Welch is in her third year as a full-time\/tenure track member of the Mansfield faculty. Prior to that she served as adjunct faculty and also as faculty liaison to interns. She was also adjunct for the Temple University Masters of Social Work (MSW) program at MU.<\/p>\n

Welch earned her bachelor\u2019s degree at Mansfield, her master\u2019s at Marywood University and her doctorate of social work at Capella University.<\/p>\n

She serves as a consulting editor for The Field Educator<\/em>, an online journal produced by the Simmons School of Social Work to promote the exchange of knowledge among the social work education community.<\/p>\n
