MANSFIELD, PA\u2014<\/strong> John Ulrich, dean of the College of \"Brad<\/a>Arts and Humanities, and Brad Lint, assistant professor of English and US-China exchange coordinator, represented Mansfield University at a number of events in China earlier this summer.<\/p>\n

Lint traveled to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou to help incoming Mansfield University Chinese students prepare for their visa interviews.<\/p>\n

Ulrich and Lint then represented MU at the 2016 Central China International Education Expo in Zhengzhou. At the expo, they met with students, parents and representatives from several universities in Henan Province.<\/p>\n

They also attended the 13th annual Sino-American CHEPD 1+2+1 Program Graduation Ceremony in Kaifeng, which began with a two-day conference on innovative education and arts and design.\"(L-R)<\/a>At the graduation ceremony, Ulrich presented MU diplomas to four graduating Chinese students: Pingyi Song, Music, Guangzhou University; Xuefei Wang, Business, Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication; Jiajia Xie, English, Longdong University; and Xinxin Zhang, Business, Xi\u2019an University of Posts and Telecommunications.<\/p>\n

Ulrich also presented each graduate with a 2016 graduation coin.<\/p>\n

Two students were unable to attend the ceremony: Yiqi Huang, English, Ningbo University of Technology; and Xinyue Zhang, Business, Hefei University of Technology.<\/p>\n

Mansfield was one of 22 American universities and 70 Chinese partner universities attending the event. Degrees were conferred upon 204 graduates.\"John<\/a>Ulrich and Lint were also invited to the campus of North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power (NCWU) to discuss opportunities for collaboration. NCWU is located in Zhengzhou and has over 15,000 students in 50 undergraduate majors and 28 graduate programs. Their visit was featured on the NCWU website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A delegation from NCWU has been invited to visit MU this fall.<\/p>\n
