MANSFIELD, PA\u2014 <\/strong>Mansfield University has been designated a \u201cWhite House Healthy Campus.\u201d The university will receive a certificate for the honor and will also participate in the Healthy Campus Challenge Day at the White House on Friday, January 13.\"health-campus-challenge\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Associate Director of Student Life Frank Crofchick, Nutrition major Christopher Homa and 2016 Nutrition graduate Mark Nellenbach will travel to Washington, DC to take part in the Healthy Campus Challenge Day, which will include remarks from First Lady Michelle Obama.<\/p>\n

\u201cWellness and its multi-components are a prime focus across our campus, and a key contributor to the Mansfield experience, our students\u2019 success and the life that awaits each of them post-graduation,\u201d MU President Fran Hendricks said. \u201cHats off to Frank Crofchick for leading the way to have MU\u2019s efforts recognized at the White House as a healthy campus. Mansfield is honored to be joining other universities and colleges from across the nation in this special event.\u201d<\/p>\n

To qualify as a \u201cHealthy Campus,\u201d Mansfield completed an application process, spearheaded by Crofchick, and was among 350 schools nationwide selected to participate in the White House Healthy Campus Challenge.<\/p>\n
