MANSFIELD, PA\u2014<\/strong>\u00a0Mansfield University will present “The Movement: 50 Years of Love and Struggle\u201d as part of its celebration of Black History Month on Monday, February 26, 7 p.m. in Steadman\"\" Theatre\u00a0 The presentation is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n

Written and performed by Emmy Award-winner Ron Jones, \u201cThe Movement\u201d is a visual chronicle, which highlights many of the political, social and cultural markers of the almost 50 years since the passage of the Voting Rights Act.<\/p>\n

\"\"During the presentation, Jones plays multiple characters and takes the audience on a journey through the ever-changing face of the African American experience.<\/p>\n

Supported by interactive video, stock historical footage, quotes and some of the most memorable music of the last two generations, Jones weaves the tapestry of struggle and triumph.<\/p>\n
