MANSFIELD, PA\u2014<\/strong> Social Work students at Mansfield University are collecting toiletries and other items to benefit the Tioga County Homeless Initiative.\"\"<\/p>\n

Specific items being requesting include men and women\u2019s deodorant, paper plates, cleaning supplies, coffee and sugar.<\/p>\n

Collection boxes are located on the first floors of each residence hall until April 6.<\/p>\n

The Tioga County Homeless Initiative\u2019s mission is to provide a warm, safe, and caring environment for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Some unique aspects of the initiative are that they provide separate bedrooms for families and always have a bed open for a veteran. The Tioga County Homeless Initiatives is a non-profit organization that relies on the support of volunteers and local ministries.<\/p>\n

The Tioga County Homeless Initiative is also in search for sponsors for a golf tournament and craft show they will be hosting in the near future. If you are interested in sponsoring one of these events, contact Abby Thorborg between the hours of 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday at (570)724-9001.<\/p>\n
