MANSFIELD, PA–<\/strong>\u00a0The Mansfield University Chemistry Club was honored\u00a0at the Corning Sectional Meeting of the\u00a0American Chemical Society on May 24, 2018.<\/p>\n

The meeting was hosted at Corning Community College in Corning, NY. This annual meeting included dinner and a presentation given by Dr. Matthew Skerritt titled \u201cThe Immortal Cells of Henrietta Lacks.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For consistent and exceptional representation at monthly sectional meetings,\u00a0Ruchi Tandon, chair of the ACS-Corning Section, awarded\u00a0 the Chemistry Club with a certificate, display frame, and $200 gift. Students Sarah LaFrance and Chris Haines represented the Chemistry Club and accepted the award on it’s behalf.\u00a0 Dr. Anthony Kiessling accompanied the students as Chemistry Club advisor.<\/p>\n
