MANSFIELD, PA – Mansfield University’s Concert Choir has been recognized as one of 20 Outstanding University and College Choir Program<\/a> in an article published on\u00a0Online-Bachelor-Degrees.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This announcement\u00a0really came to me completely out of the blue,” said choral director Dr. Peggy\u00a0Dettwiler.\u00a0 “Here we were: Mansfield University’s choral program listed among other top programs in the country.\u00a0 I know first-hand the quality of most of the other programs on the list, especially: Brigham Young University, Cornell University,\u00a0Oakwood University, Mt. San Antonio College, New York University, Pacific Lutheran University, St. Olaf College, University of Louisville, University of Southern California, and Yale University! \u00a0They have all appeared at conferences of the American Choral Directors Association and are very well-known. \u00a0Mansfield is so honored to be among them!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will close the academic year on Saturday, April 27 with a concert in Steadman Theatre<\/a> including\u00a0works from the 16th to the 21st century, from sacred motets to a Carly Simon Country Song.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
