MANSFIELD, Pa. \u2013 Mansfield University\u2019s radiologic\ntechnology program was reaccredited for the maximum period possible of eight\nyears by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JRCERT is the only agency recognized by the United State Department\nof Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)\nfor the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs\nin radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMaintenance of the maximum award indicates that the program\ncontinues to meet the high standards set forth by the JRCERT\u201d said Susan\nLanzara, chair of the Department of Health Sciences. \u201cWe are very proud of the\nRadiologic Technology program as well as our other programs in the Health\nSciences Department at Mansfield.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radiologic technology is a two-year program jointly\nsponsored by Mansfield University and Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre,\nPa. Students spend the first semester on Mansfield University\u2019s campus with the\nremaining three semesters and two summer sessions held at Guthrie Robert Packer\nHospital gaining clinical experience. Students are routinely assigned to\ndiagnostic areas and gain familiarity with specialty areas through clinical\nrotations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduates of Mansfield\u2019s radiologic technology program have\na 95% credentialing exam pass rate and a 94% job placement rate in diagnostic\nradiology over the past two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
