MANSFIELD, Pa. \u2013 L.A.-based alternative rock band Young the Giant will headline Mansfield University\u2019s spring concert on Friday, April 3 at Decker Gymnasium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show begins at 8 p.m. with doors to Decker Gymnasium\nopening at 7 p.m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young the Giant broke onto the music scene in 2010 with its self-titled\ndebut studio album that was RIAA-certified gold featuring platinum singles\n\u201cCough Syrup\u201d and \u201cMy Body\u201d. The band is touring in support of its fourth\nstudio album Mirror Master that features singles \u201cSimplify\u201d, \u201cSuperposition\u201d,\n\u201cHeat of the Summer\u201d, and \u201cCall me Back\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young the Giant is composed of Sameer Gadhia (vocals), Jacob\nTilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar\/vocals), Payam Doostzadeh (bass), and\nFrancois Comtois (drums\/vocals). The New York Times called lead singer Gadhia\n\u201cone of the greatest contemporary rock voices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concert tickets are just $10 a person for Mansfield\nUniversity students. Current MU students are able to purchase up to four\ntickets each at the $10 student price for friends and family. General admission\nis $25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concert is sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA) and is funded by student activity fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
