MANSFIELD, Pa. – Platinum-award winning rapper Kevin Gates and special guest Yung Gravy will headline Mansfield University’s Spring Fling at Karl Van Norman Field on Thursday, April 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doors open at 6 p.m. with the headline performances beginning at 7:30 p.m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spring Fling is presented by the MU Student Government Association (SGA) and paid for with student activity fees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kevin\n Gates transformed into one of the most impactful and inimitable rappers\n in the game by simply being Kevin Gates. The Baton Rouge, LA native has\n racked up 6 billion streams, 6 billion views, and dozens of \nmultiplatinum, platinum, and gold certifications. Gates has also logged \nfour Top 5 entries on the Billboard Top 200 in addition to seven Top 5 \nentries on both the Top Rap Albums Chart and the Top R&B\/Hip-Hop \nAlbums Charts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yung Gravy’s musical style is a blend of modern \ntrap music with themes inspired by the soul and oldies movements of the \n1950s and 1960s, as well as 1970s and 1980s soul and funk music. His \n2018 EP ‘Snow Cougar’ yielded a pair of gold-selling hits, jumping from \nearly Soundcloud success to the hottest playlists on Spotify. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets\n are free for Mansfield University students and can be picked up with \nuniversity ID at the Mountie Spirit Store. General tickets can be \npurchased at mansfield.tix.com<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
