MANSFIELD, PA (03\/30\/2023) Four Commonwealth University-Mansfield \nstudents from geosciences, Emili Sterling, Em (Emily) Donne, Kora Somma \nand Morgan Mesaris, will engage in climate change public outreach at the\n Warehouse Theatre in Wellsboro, April 21 -23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In honor of \nEarth Day (April 22), the theatre is featuring “The Moons of Jupiter,” a\n play written by playwright Dr. Jessica Litwak, who created the work as \nan interdisciplinary project linking science and theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Performances\n are on Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, \nApril 23, at 2:30 p.m.. Tickets are $16 for adults and $8 for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\n play imagines a future when Earth has run out of fresh water and only \nvodka is available. Water must be purchased on the black market and a \nyoung scientist is trying to come up with a solution by designing a \nspacecraft that can travel to one of Jupiter’s moons, in an effort to \ncollect water and save Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to each performance, \nMansfield’s geoscience students will present a public outreach session \nfocused on how climate change is expected to impact the state of \nPennsylvania through the remainder of this century.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
