MANSFIELD, PA (05\/16\/2023) Junior high and high school musicians will be able to learn from master music educators at several summer music camps held at Commonwealth University-Mansfield in June and July. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each camp will group campers by age and ability and will provide each with individual and small group instruction in their specific instrument. This year, camps will be held on clarinet, flute, oboe and bassoon, percussion, and saxophone, as well as an honors band and youth music camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camp faculty and counselors include talented musicians and \nteachers, as well as Mansfield Music Department faculty, alumni, and \nstudents. Each camp will have a counselor-to-camper ratio of 1 to 10. \nCounselors and campers will live in the campus residence hall and eat in\n the dining hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One week before the start of the clarinet, \nflute, oboe, and bassoon, and percussion camps, campers will be required\n to complete a placement audition to ensure they are placed in the \nappropriate chamber music levels. More information can be found on the \nregistration website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The percussion and saxophone camps will run\n from Sunday, June 25, to Friday, June 30; the flute, clarinet, oboe, \nand bassoon camps will run from Sunday, June 25, to Thursday, June 29; \nthe honors band camp will run from Sunday, July 9, to Saturday, July 15;\n and the youth music camp will run from Sunday, July 16, to Saturday, \nJuly 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
