MANSFIELD, PA— Four Mansfield University students presented papers at the Eastern Pennsylvania Regional Meeting of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society hosted by Ursinus College on April 18.James Besek (Selinsgrove, PA) presented his paper, “True Heroism.”
Jennifer Lichtenwalner (Lehighton, PA) presented her paper entitled, “Religious Diversity in Colonial Pennsylvania.”
Richard McCouch (Collegeville, PA) presented his work, “The War America Forgot: The Spanish-American War and the Rise of American Imperialism.”
Sheree Palmer (Levittown, PA) presented her paper, “William Still and the Underground Railroad.”
Professor Karen Guenther and Associate Professor Shawndra Holderby, faculty advisors for the Alpha-Iota-Beta Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, both chaired paper sessions and served as judges for paper prizes at the meeting.
