Chuck Hoy Selected for Television Academy of Arts and Sciences Seminar

MANSFIELD, PA— Chuck Hoy, associate professor of Communication at Mansfield University, has been selected to attend the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences Faculty Seminar in Los Angeles on November 9-13.Chuck HoyHoy is one of only 20 professors from colleges and universities nationwide selected by Television Academy members to be immersed into the entertainment industry for a week-long seminar to learn from the industry’s top professionals.

“I am honored to have been selected for this program sponsored by the Television Academy Foundation that brings professionals in the field together with educators in electronic media,” Hoy said. “I’m excited and thrilled to be able to represent Mansfield University and to be able to bring back information on current television industry trends and practices to my classes.”

The faculty seminar will include sessions on producing, writing, directing, the network decision making process and digital entertainment and news media. Hoy and his fellow participants will also visit locations and get to look behind the scenes on Hollywood productions.
