MU Christian Women’s Club Receives National Honor

Missing from photo: Keisha Lee, Amelia Lieberknecht.According to the Kappa Phi website, the award “is presented to the active chapter who goes above and beyond and who proves to give the best overall performance.”

This is the third honor MU’s chapter has received in three years.

Last summer, Alpha Zeta was awarded the LeSourd Cup, which goes to Kappa Phi chapter that has demonstrated the most improvement, particularly in the areas of growth and development.

Alpha Zeta was awarded the Rose Banner in spring 2014.  The Rose Banner is given to the active chapter who have the highest excellence in planning and executing Kappa Phi programming.

“I am so proud of these women and their hard work and dedication to the Alpha Zeta Chapter at Mansfield University,” Alpha Zeta Advisor and Campus Minister Courtney Hull said.

According to the national organization website, “The Kappa Phi Club is a spirit. It was born to unite young university women in a common purpose of strengthening their lives so that in everyday living they will be able to stand true to Christian principles.”
