Concert Choir to Perform at Carnegie Hall; Alumni Association Offers Bus Trip for Concert

MANSFIELD, PA— The Mansfield University Concert Choir will perform at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, January 14 and the MU Alumni Association is offering fans and supporters the chance to take in the performance in New York City.

The Concert Choir, directed by Peggy Dettwiler, is one of only nine choirs invited to perform as part of the Performing Arts Educators’ 11th Annual Invitational.

The concert begins at 2 p.m. The MU Concert Choir will perform a segment during the concert and then join with all the other ensembles, creating a choir of approximately 500 voices, for the grand finale.

For a cost of $100 per person, the Alumni Association has arranged for motor coach transportation and a concert ticket.

The bus will leave from campus and make three stops for pick-up; Williamsport Susquehanna Trailways Terminal, Exit 232 on Route 80 (Buckhorn) and Exit 277 on Route 80 (Lake Harmony), entroute to New York City. Drop-offs will be made at the same three locations on the return trip.

A ticket only option of $50 is offered anyone living in the New York metropolitan area or who is providing their own transportation.

Anyone who would like to just visit New York City for the day can ride the bus for $50 per person.
