Lycoming County Coroners Speak with MU Students

MANSFIELD, PA— Lycoming County Coroner Charles Kiessling and Deputy Coroner Jenny Nolan visited Mansfield University to give a presentation to members of Lambda Alpha Epsilon (LAE) – American Criminal Justice Association, a national professional coed fraternity for criminal justice students.(L-R) Maurin MacNamara, Scott Syryla, Shyanne McKivison, Emily Galligan, Gina LaRose, Deputy Coroner Jenny Nolan, Coroner Charles Kiessling, Zachary Sedun, Christian Nordai, Colin Ohnmeiss, Taylor Koch, Tyler Schrader and Bethany Weber.Kiessling and Nolan talked to students about their jobs, what a typical day is like, DNA collection, and how they got to where they are today.

Students were also shown pictures of scenes the coroners had visited to give them a more complete, visual picture of the profession and what it involves. A question and answer session followed.
