MANSFIELD, PA— Michele Whitecraft, assistant professor of Education and Special Education at Mansfield University, presented at the 2016 Limerick Symposium at the University of Limerick, Ireland last October.
Whitecraft presented two papers on her research; “The Lexicon of the Nature of Science: The Real or the Ideal?” and “Authentic Research in Everyday Life.”
The Symposium brought scientists and educators from 10 countries together to discuss the future of science education worldwide. Participants debated the models being considered for the next generation of science standards and pedagogy for teaching the nature of science.
