MANSFIELD, PA— Alumni, family and friends will return to Mansfield University to renew acquaintances, make news ones, tour campus and take part in a variety of 
other activities on Alumni Weekend 2017, June 8-11.
The welcome BBQ for Phi Sigma Kappa’s 50th anniversary celebration will be held Thursday, June 8 at 7 p.m.
The Alumni Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, June 9 at Corey Creek Golf Club.
Friday will also feature a tour of Keuka Lake wineries. Registration is required for the tour. The deadline is May 15.
“Lobsterfest” will be held Friday evening, with by musical entertainment from Time Capsule Music by Bryan Lane ’88.
The schedule for Saturday, June 10 will start with the first annual Alumni Weekend 5K Walk/Run at 8 a.m. Proceeds will benefit student academic scholarships.
Members of the Class of 1967, celebrating their 50th anniversary, will be this year’s honored guests for Alumni Weekend.
The Class of ’67, along with this year’s Society of Honors award winners; Libby Morse French ’72, Adam Murtland ’12, Rod Pursell ’88 and Dr. Merle Stilwell ’56, classes ending in seven and two and retired faculty and staff will be honored at a luncheon on Saturday, June 10.
Saturday will also feature the Sigma Tau Gamma/Gamma Alpha Chapter luncheon, Phi Sigma Kappa 50th Anniversary banquet, Mountie Tournament of Champions and an ice cream social, among other events and activities.
Alumni Weekend will conclude with the President’s Closing Brunch from 8-10 a.m., hosted by MU President Fran Hendricks ’79 and his wife Connie, on Sunday, June 11.
North Hall and campus tours will also be available Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Kelchner Fitness Center and Mountie Den campus bookstore will be open throughout the weekend.
