MANSFIELD, PA— Casey Wood has been named director of Alumni Relations at Mansfield University.
Wood, a native of Mansfield and a 2002 MU graduate,
has been serving as the University’s director of Marketing since February 2015.
“With Casey’s experience in higher education and the private sector, and her love of her alma mater, I have no doubt she will be successful in leading our loyal alumni family,” Interim President Scott Barton said in making the announcement.
“As an alumna of Mansfield University, I am both humbled and enthusiastic to represent this vital area to our University,” Wood said. “Fostering good business practices, collaboration, and innovation, I look forward to helping our members connect and engage. Working alongside our alumni community, I will serve as a catalyst to effect positive change locally and in the many communities in which our Mountaineers are living and working. Prior to taking over marketing responsibilities at MU, Wood served as the University’s director of Admissions Programming and Marketing from July 2012 until February 2015. She was assistant director of Admissions for four years before that.
Before returning to Mansfield, Wood held positions with Citizens & Northern Bank and Citigroup.
As director of Alumni Relations, Wood will be responsible for building strong relationships with Mansfield alumni, developing strategies and programs to increase student involvement with alumni, and cultivating a network of alumni volunteers to engage with campus leadership. The director also promotes the recognition of personal and professional achievements of alumni and serves as the University liaison to the MU Alumni Association and its board.
