Mansfield Education Students Attend State Conference

The Student Pennsylvania State Education Association (SPSEA) event brought together hundreds of future educators from universities and colleges around Pennsylvania.

The students participated in the legislative processes, voted on state-wide student union decisions, and attended several professional development sessions pertaining to their field of work.

Additionally, this group traveled to Tyrone School District to transform the bland High School, Middle School, and Elementary School walls into colorful and inspirational murals that will welcome the students in these schools every day.

MU students who attended were Madison Canfield, Dustin Dailey, Rebecca Davis, Emily Elsbree, Makenzie King, Emily Pennrod, Erica Powell and Hannah Swartwood.

SPSEA is the student branch of PSEA, whose 181,000 members are teachers, education support professionals, higher education staff, nurses in health care facilities, retired educators, and college students preparing to become teachers.
