Natural Gas Job Site Safety to be discussed at Presentation

MANSFIELD, PAKinney Cossel from SeaTrax will present “Risk natural gas siteManagement & Job Site Safety of a Natural Gas Job Site” on Thursday, April 10, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Allen Hall, Room 104. The presentation is free and open to the public.

This was originally scheduled to be the February installment of the Shale Speaker Series, sponsored by The Marcellus Institute at Mansfield University, but was rescheduled due to a snow storm.

One of the most important aspects of any job is being able to keep the worksite safe. Kinney will explain why risk management and job site safety is not only necessary at a natural gas site but also requires total involvement and participation from all individuals.

Kinney will also explain how to assess the job site, recognize that there are certain hazards that cannot be avoided, and that such hazards must be mitigated using the hierarchy of controls in order to ensure a safe and productive worksite. Throughout the presentation, Kinney will share examples of how and when safety training has been implemented into a worksite.

Light refreshments will be provided at the presentation.
