MANSFIELD, PA— Mansfield University and the Mansfield Foundation have reached agreement on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will renew and revitalize the relationship between the two parties.
Although the Foundation suspended active fundraising until the new MOU was in place, the Foundation continued to administer the funds and assets over which it has stewardship. “We are ready to move forward,” said Mindy Engel, Foundation Executive Director. “Our focus is on the future and our attention and energy are dedicated to our primary mission of supporting academic programs at the University, awarding scholarship funds and re-engaging donors in the advancement of Mansfield University.”
The MOU has been endorsed by the Mansfield University Council of Trustees and the Mansfield Foundation Board of Directors.
“On behalf of the Council of Trustees, I can report that we are excited to begin a renewed partnership with the Mansfield Foundation,” Bobbi Kilmer, Council of Trustees chairperson, said. “I am especially thankful to the leaders of both the University and the Foundation for their willingness to explore ways that will make us a more dynamic and unified team moving forward. We are very fortunate to partner with the Mansfield Foundation as we work to turn today’s challenges into opportunities for our university and its students.”
“We look forward to working together again,” said board chair Larry Mansfield. “We appreciate the University’s administration and Council of Trustees for their leadership and continued commitment to building a strong partnership between the University and Foundation and our common goals.”
With the MOU in place, the University and Foundation are currently working on a multitude of goals and projects to be achieved by both partners in this re-energized relationship.
