MANSFIELD, PA – The Mansfield University family is saddened by the loss of one of our alumni, Kara Ann (Mowery) Herr, 28, of Mechanicsburg. Kara passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Hershey Medical Center, after a battle with cancer.
Kara was a 2010 graduate of the MU/ Guthrie RPH Radiologic Technology program. Kara lived on the Guthrie Sayre campus for 1 1/2 years, making many friends within the Radiology program and other Health Sciences programs. Those who new Kara will remember her as a wonderful young woman with a contagious smile.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 11, at the First United Methodist Church, 602 S. Market St., Muncy, where a memorial service will be held at noon.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Kara’s name be made to either the ASPCA, online at www.aspca.org, or to the 1 Million 4 Anna Foundation, 15301 Dallas Parkway No. 1100, Addison, TX 75001, or online at www.1million4anna.org, to fight against Ewing’s Sarcoma.
