Young the Giant to headline Mansfield University spring concert

 

MANSFIELD, Pa. – L.A.-based alternative rock band Young the Giant will headline Mansfield University’s spring concert on Friday, April 3 at Decker Gymnasium.

The show begins at 8 p.m. with doors to Decker Gymnasium
opening at 7 p.m.

Young the Giant broke onto the music scene in 2010 with its self-titled
debut studio album that was RIAA-certified gold featuring platinum singles
“Cough Syrup” and “My Body”. The band is touring in support of its fourth
studio album Mirror Master that features singles “Simplify”, “Superposition”,
“Heat of the Summer”, and “Call me Back”.

Young the Giant is composed of Sameer Gadhia (vocals), Jacob
Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar/vocals), Payam Doostzadeh (bass), and
Francois Comtois (drums/vocals). The New York Times called lead singer Gadhia
“one of the greatest contemporary rock voices.”

Concert tickets are just $10 a person for Mansfield
University students. Current MU students are able to purchase up to four
tickets each at the $10 student price for friends and family. General admission
is $25.

The concert is sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA) and is funded by student activity fees.
