Mansfield University to continue test-optional admission

Mansfield University’s Alumni Hall

MANSFIELD, Pa. – Mansfield University will continue to offer an SAT/ACT test-optional application process to prospective students for admissions consideration through 2022.

Test-optional means students may choose to submit test scores if they have them, but applications from students without test scores will also be considered.  The lack of test scores will not impact the university’s evaluation of the student’s application.

Mansfield was one of the first universities in the nation to pivot to a test-optional application process in March 2020 after testing centers were closed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Waiving the SAT/ACT requirement process allows qualified applicants to have an equal opportunity for admission. The waiver applies to both domestic and international students.

Please note that certain academic programs may require test scores to be submitted due to program accreditation requirements.

Mansfield University extended its Fall ‘21 admissions deposit deadline to June 1 and applications are still being accepted at mansfield.edu/apply. Mansfield is planning for a return to in-person classes and activities in the fall.
