MU Honors MSgt. Tim Cleveland

MANSFIELD, PA— Tim Cleveland, who is a familiar face at MU President Fran Hendricks, who served 33 years in the US Air Force, congratulates MSgt. Tim Cleveland on his retirement after 35 years of service.Mansfield University, serving on the Veteran’s Affairs Contact Group, and in Tioga County, serving as director of the Tioga County Veteran’s Affairs Department, is retiring after 35 years of military service.

While he is retiring from military service, Cleveland will continue to serve veterans with the VA and will be involved in veteran’s affairs at Mansfield.

Cleveland spent the first 18 years in the U.S. Army Reserves and the last 17 in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He retires at the rank of Master Sergeant.

“Mansfield University would like to congratulate MSgt. Cleveland on his retirement and thank him for his continued service to our veterans, Tioga County and Mansfield University,” Josh Battin, coordinator of Military and Veteran Affairs and assistant professor of Criminal Justice Administration, said.

Cleveland deployed overseas on several occasions, including serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
