MU Students Present Poetry at State Conference

MANSFIELD, PA— Six Mansfield University English majors and Creative Writing minors presented their poetry at the English Association of Pennsylvania State Universities (EAPSU) Undergraduate Conference at Millersville University on April 17.(L-R) Stacey Locey, Kelly Raleigh, Riley Thomas, Brandon Earley, Rachel Roupp, Danielle Gilbert.Creative Writing minor Danielle Gilbert (Mechanicsburg, PA), who is a Biology/Psychology dual major, took first prize in the EAPSU Undergraduate Poetry Contest, winning $100.

Brandon Earley (Elmira, NY), Stephanie Locey (Middlebury Center, PA), Kelly Raleigh (Hanover, PA), Rachel Roupp (Mansfield, PA) and Riley Thomas (Harding, PA) also read their work at the conference.

“I believe Mansfield has made their poetic mark at EAPSU,” Poetry professor Lilace Guignard said. “Students had great presentations and performance skills as well as strong content.”
