MANSFIELD, PA—The Mansfield University Concert Choir, under the direction of Peggy Dettwiler, will sing in the worship service of the historic Marble Collegiate Church in New York City on Sunday, February 14 beginning at 10:45 a.m. 
The group will perform a 15-minute prelude of four selections; Laudar Vollio, featuring Eli Sauls, Jake Wilson and Malcolm Layaou as soloists, O Salutaris Hostia, with sopranos Cassie Zinkan and Sarah Polinski, a spiritual entitled I’ve Been in the Storm So Long, featuring mezzo-soprano Zoe Noyes, and the gospel piece Don’t Bend Down, with Kyle Rusk at the piano.
During the service, the MU Concert Choir will join in song with the 24-voice professional Marble Sanctuary Choir, directed by Kenneth Dake.
Together these choirs will sing the anthem I Was Glad When They unto Me by Hubert Parry, with organ accompaniment on their new Sebastian Gluck pipe organ, Stanford’s motet Beati Quorum Via and Messiaen’s O Sacrum Convivium.
Dake is the esteemed organist and director of the Marble music program. Norman Vincent Peale was minister for many years at Marble and Robert Shaw organized his Collegiate Chorale at this renowned church.
