MANSFIELD, PA— R.M. Sides Family Music Centers has purchased 50 tickets to the Cory Band concert on Thursday, February 18, 8 p.m. in Steadman Theater at Mansfield University and is making them available free to area high school students on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interested students and teachers can contact Music Department Chair Nathan Rinnert at nrinnert@mansfield.edu to make arrangements for tickets.
Mansfield will be the site of one of only six concerts the world renowned Cory Band on their first U.S. tour in 40 years. The concert is part of the Endless Mountain Music Festival’s annual Jazz Fest.
The number one ranked brass band in the world for the past nine years, the Cory Band won both the 2015 Grand Champion Brass Band of Great Britain and the 2015 Brass in Concert Championship.
The program will include a wide variety of musical styles, from British classics to jazz standards, movie themes and classical favorites. Information regarding the concert, including the complete program, is available at coryband.com/2015/mansfield-university/
Tickets are $15, plus a $1 processing fee, and are only available at music.mansfield.edu. Tickets for groups of 10 or more are $10 a piece, plus a $1 processing fee.
Tickets purchased online will be available for pickup at Steadman Theater beginning at 6:30 p.m. on the night of the concert.
