MANSFIELD, PA— Eight Mansfield University students were inducted into the Alpha-Iota-Beta Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta history honor society on March 2.
The new members are Kirsten Anderson, Sara Cavanagh, Brooke Gottwald, Paige Kisner, Adrian Peery, Miranda Peery, Amanda Sheakoski and Abigail Shenot.
Alpha-Iota-Beta confers distinction upon students who have earned at least a 3.25 GPA in a minimum of four history courses and maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
Members receive a number of benefits, including opportunities to compete for scholarships and to attend and present their scholarly and creative work at regional conferences.
Professor Karen Guenther serves as faculty advisor for the Mansfield chapter.
