Female Students Honor Mansfield Mentors

MANSFIELD, PA—Eighteen members of the Mansfield University campus community were honored as outstanding mentors to female students at the annual 16th annual President’s Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) Mentor Celebration on Tuesday, April 12.Mentors and student nominators with MU President Fran Hendricks (back, right).PCSW invited students to nominate someone who has had a significant impact on their lives and who has helped them to become a stronger woman.  The event presented the opportunity to celebrate the efforts of those who make exceptional efforts to reach out to students in ways that are many times life changing.

PCSW was established in 1990 to help educate the campus community in the area of women’s issues, advocate on behalf of women and to keep the President advised of women’s issues related to Mansfield University.
