MANSFIELD, PA— A group of Mansfield University employees were involved in the effort to spruce up the Veterans Memorial Park in Mansfield in time for July 4.
The MU volunteers; Frank Crofchick, Nick Manento, Jonathan Rothermel, Ruth Hermansen and Dusty Zeyn, joined a group of volunteers from the Borough of Mansfield and Lowe’s Home Improvement Center employees on Tuesday, June 28, weeding, planting new flowers, spreading mulch and completing other tasks to beautify the park area.
“This is an important part of our community and we at the University wanted to help and be involved,” Crofchick, Community Conduct officer and Service coordinator at MU, said. “We are always looking for ways to serve our community and give back. Anytime anyone has a project we may be able to help with, I would ask them to contact me.”
