MANSFIELD, PA— Four Mansfield University students presented papers at the Eastern Pennsylvania Regional Meeting of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society hosted by Shippensburg University on April 5.
Kaitlyn Calvert (S. Williamsport, PA) presented her paper, “Medical Experiments Performed on Twins in Auschwitz-Birkenau by Dr. Josef Mengele.”
Justin Grubb (Mansfield, PA) presented his paper entitled, “Wernher von Braun: Scientist, Nazi SS Officer, and War Criminal.”
Megan Hoch (Fleetwood, PA) presented her work, “Pennsylvania Dutch Superstitions and Powwowing.”
Chelsi Wood (Mansfield, PA) presented, “Elizabeth the Rhetor: The Makings of a Female King.”
Professor Karen Guenther and Associate Professor Shawndra Holderby, faculty advisors for the Alpha-Iota-Beta Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, served as session chairs at the regional meeting.
