Gentlemen Hall to Open for New Politics

MANSFIELD, PA— Gentlemen Hall will be the opening act for NewGentlemen Hall Politics at Decker Gymnasium  on Thursday, April 24 at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

The Boston-based indie band has released two albums, an EP and in 2013 released a single, Sail into the Sun, which received major airplay and was also featured in Target and Samsung commercials internationally.

With a sound described as a blend of “punk, pop, and electronically induced dance rock,” New Politics is touring the U.S., performing their own concerts as well as opening for New PoliticsParamore and Fall Out Boy in some venues.

The trio of David Boyd, Søren Hansen, and Louis Vecchio have released two albums: New Politics in 2010 and A Bad Girl in Harlem in 2013. Their best known singles are Yeah Yeah Yeah and Harlem.

Tickets are $5 for MU students, $10 for MU employees and alumni and $15 for the general public. They are available at the MU Campus Bookstore in Alumni Hall. Bookstore hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tickets are also available on-line at mansfield.tix.com   

All tickets are general admission, with bleacher seating and standing room only on the gym floor.

The concert is presented by the Student Activities Office (SAO), in collaboration with the Mansfield Activities Council (MAC), MU Student Government Association (SGA), Health Sciences Student Government Association-Sayre Campus (HSSGA) and WNTE-FM. It is supported by student activity fees.
