MANSFIELD, PA—Shawndra Holderby, associate professor of History at Mansfield University, has been elected president of PASSHE Women’s Consortium. The appointment came at the organization’s 30th annual conference, held at Kutztown University October 7-8.
The PASSHE Women’s Consortium is the only organization within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) that acts on behalf of all women; faculty, staff, students and administrators. The Consortium initiatives include an annual conference, and three summer leadership institutes for faculty, staff and undergraduate women.
Also at the conference, Holderby participated in a round table discussion, “Making our Voices Heard: Childcare needs and successes across the PASSHE System.”
She also organized and moderated a student panel with students from a number of PASSHE schools, “Let your Feminist Flag Fly.” Mansfield English major and Women’s Studies minor Rachel Roupp participated in the student panel.
