Justin Crowl Publishes Work and Takes on Editor Role

MANSFIELD, PA—Justin N. Crowl, assistant professor of Criminal Justice Administration (CJA) at Mansfield justin-crowl-2University, recently published two reference works in Lockdown Nation: An Encyclopedia of Controversies and Trends in American Prisons.

The first piece discusses treatment in US prisons, while the other examines the cost of prisons.

Additionally, Crowl recently became the production editor for Police Practice and Research (PPR), a peer-reviewed, international journal that presents current and innovative police research from around the world.

In this role, he oversees the publication of the journal and editorial work, including proofreading, copyediting, and the composition/layout of each issue. He also reviews articles, ensuring adherence to journal-specific policies, and coordinates the online and print publication of journal issues.

Crowl also serves as the editor for Working Paper Series, an online journal affiliated with the International Police Executive Symposium and PPR.
