MU Army National Guard Troops Train During Spring Break

MANSFIELD, PA— Several Mansfield University students and staff members completed a week long crew and (L-R) SSG Jason Welch, SGT Zachery Jockel, PVT Ryan Kreykenbohm and SGT Colten Beard were among those from MU taking part in the training.section tank gunnery over spring break (March 11-19) at Fort Pickett, VA.

The soldiers, members of Bravo Company, 3-103 Armored Battalion, lived in the field the entire training period to support the 24 hours operations that are required for the gunnery to take place.

This is the first time since 2005 that a section gunnery has been completed for the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as they prepare for their upcoming military training exercise (XCTC) at Ft. Hood, TX this summer.
