MANSFIELD, PA— April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Social Work students at Mansfield University
will join HAVEN of Tioga County to “Paint the Town Teal”on Saturday, April 1.
The Social Work students will join other HAVEN volunteers painting business windows teal, the color symbolizing sexual assault awareness, in Wellsboro, Mansfield, Elkland and Blossburg beginning at 11 a.m.
The event is open to all. If you would like to participate, contact the Social Work student-led group at communitiesandorganizations@mounties.mansfield.edu by Thursday, March 30, at 8 p.m. In your email, please indicate which town you would be interested in helping in.
Your name will be given to HAVEN of Tioga County along with your town preference and you will be assigned to a group. All materials will be provided by HAVEN.
The event is organized by students as part of Associate Professor Mary Daly’s Communities and Organizations class.
