The camp is designed to create a better understanding between the youth of the three county area and professional law enforcement.

The students, selected through an application process administered by the Pennsylvania State Police and the Tioga County Partnership for Community Health, spent the week on campus in a structure simulating a police academy atmosphere that emphasized self-discipline and responsibility.

Cadets participated in tactical team exercises, crime scene processing, communications, orienteering, swimming and other activities.

The goal of the camp is to develop an understanding of the role and job responsibilities that municipal officers, probation officers, state troopers and other members of the law enforcement community perform.Photo courtesy of Northern Tier Camp Cadet. To learn more about Northern Tier Camp Cadet and see pictures from the week, visit facebook.com/Northern-Tier-Camp-Cadet-992459120785814/
