MANSFIELD, PA— Two representatives from WebpageFX, an Internet marketing firm in Harrisburg, visited Mansfield University on September 16.
Patty Price, Talent Acquisition and Culture specialist, and Online Public Relations Specialist Kate Haywood, a 2016 MU graduate who earned a BA in English – Professional Writing, joined faculty and staff for lunch, held an informal session for interested students, and guest spoke in two classes. Nichole Lefelhoc, director of the Mansfield University Career Center, organized the visit.
Price and Haywood spoke to Assistant Professor Holly Pieper’s COM 3320 – Public Relations Writing class and Assistant Professor Brad Lint’s ENG 3404 – Writing for the Web and Social Media, class.
Price explained that WebpageFX was established 20 ago and now serves over 780 clients nationally and internationally. They are partners with Google and Microsoft and have seven teams: local SEO, social media, strategic, computing, design, development, link building, and content outreach. The company has won many prestigious awards in recent years, including “Millennials Best Places to Work,” “Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies,” “Pennsylvania Tech Company of the Year,” and for two years in a row, “#1 Best Place to Work in PA.”Haywood added that the skills she learned as a professional writing major at MU and as an intern in the MU marketing department have benefited her immensely in her position at WebpageFX.
Lint noted that it was great to see a recent English graduate come back to speak to the very same class she took while here two years ago.

Price encouraged more MU students to applying at WebpageFX, as well as seeking internships in internet marketing, content marketing, web development and social media.
