MANSFIELD, PA— David Stinebeck has been named Provost and 
Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Mansfield University, removing the interim title he has held since January. He was selected after a comprehensive national search.
In making the announcement, MU President Fran Hendricks said, “Dr. Stinebeck comes to this role with a Ph.D. in American Studies from Yale University and more than 40 years of experience in higher education in both faculty and administrative roles. His extensive prior experience as dean, provost and interim president will be an important element in achieving the MU 2020 strategic plan goals and I will rely heavily on his leadership in meeting the challenges and opportunities ahead for Mansfield University.”
Stinebeck served as Interim Associate Provost and Dean of Arts & Sciences at MU for 18 months prior to being appointed as Interim Provost in January.
